What is a Ladyboy?
A ladyboy is the name given to a person who has male genitalia but lives outwardly as a woman. However, a ladyboy may also live as a woman without male geniatalia if she has had sex reassignment surgery, commonly called a sex change operation. A ladyboy is a transsexual or transgender. This is different to a transvestite which is a man who dresses as a woman on some occasions. In some cases, especially when the individual is still young, perhaps even before they are in their teenage years, a ladyboy may dress as a woman on occasions until they are confident enough to completely “come out” as a transsexual or transgender.
Most ladyboys face enormous difficulties within their social spectrum and their family life. In most cases a ladyboy knows from a very young age that she is different, she is treated like a he and knows she is expected to act as a he but simply cannot fight the natural urge inside of her to act like a woman. This is frustrating to most young ladyboys and their parents in so many ways. The first thing that parents obviously assume is that their young son is gay and we all know what type of social stigma that presents. Although it’s ok to be gay, it’s still a huge burden on a young person and their family as much of society, sadly as it may be, still looks uncomfortably towards gay people. The thing is though, a typical ladyboy may not actually be gay. This is of course a contentious issue so let me explain.
Numerous studies and scientific tests have been performed on the brains of dead transsexuals only to reveal the same conclusion time and time again. Ladyboys or transsexuals have female brains, I’m not a scientist but apparently there is a distinct difference in the make up of the male and female brain. So being born with a female brain in an otherwise male body is without doubt going to cause the individual immense mental anguish and pain. It’s for this reason many ladyboys leave home the first chance they get and often move to cities or where they can find others like themselves. Sadly, many of them no longer stay in contact with their families and find it hard to trust people and this often leads them into a life of loneliness. Some of them turn to drugs and alcohol, many of them turn to sex with multiple partners while some may go on to live normal lives with partners who can accept them as they are.
The name ladyboy is very commonly associated with Asian transsexuals and especially in
In my experience I have found ladyboys to have a great sense of humor and are normally quite open and honest about themselves. Although they like to live and act as women and would probably prefer not to be noticed, most would be honest in telling you they are not a natural lady if you asked. Some have the tendency to over act as women and this can be a sign to others they are not natural women, this is especially the case with younger ones who may have recently become full time “girls”. It’s actually quite funny to watch sometimes and most ladyboys love attention. Although it’s typically not polite to stare, most ladyboys are ok with it in the right circumstances.
Ladyboys are a unique and interesting group of individuals and deserve their right to be different in the same way we are all different in our own unique way. Some ladyboys are so feminine, showing absolutely no male physical characteristics, that it would be almost impossible to pick them as being any different from any other girl. Have you actually ever checked your girlfriend’s birth certificate?
